Help Encourage Liberians Little Ones - Liberia (HELLO – Liberia) a key to this strategy is the foundation’s Country Office in Monrovia (Liberia) which is staffed by a team of skilled Liberians professionals. Using their intimate knowledge of the country and its challenges, this office carefully selects high-performing, indigenous development organizations to implement the foundation’s projects.
Who We Are
Help Encourage Liberians Little Ones - Liberia (HELLO – Liberia) approaches International and Local Sponsors Aid and Development are unique. We are dedicated to improving the lives of neglected children in remote communities, abandoned children and help put them in school and in Orphan home in Liberia. It has been our experience that humanitarian relief seldom reaches the distant areas or village members, yet sometimes they are the ones who need it most.
HELLO – Liberia’s mission is truly a heartfelt one: To help the poor children of Liberia lift them out of poverty and offer them a hand out. Yet it understands the best way to achieve this is to operate entrepreneurially and expect results from its internationals and local aid to bring relief to all children, especially focusing on orphans and abandoned children in remote areas of Liberia. Moving children toward a new vision and enabling them with the skills and resources for a brighter future.
For us, every individual counts, whether in an area of great media coverage or not, we believe that every children in various communities in and around Liberia would benefit from being a part of the HELLO - Liberia Family.
Our focus in the communities helps us to have a wider reaching impact in the lives of children made vulnerable through war, disease and circumstances beyond their control.
What we do:
HELLO - Liberia has plan to undertakes and in the process, we also work along side National Organizations to build safer communities for those affected in these rural areas.
Through experience, planning and careful research, we identify areas where changes can be made through a little sacrifice and great vision. We visit these areas and assess the local needs and we work with the people and other volunteers to build a more sustainable life and future, by providing necessary items which includes foods, clothing, education and the required facilities.
We spend quality time with the children, playing with them, reading to them and interacting to learn better how and what their individuals needs are so we can customize a response that will meet their needs and help to build a strong foundation for the future of each child.
Through different activities we share with them such things as balloons, ice cream or something fun to show them we care. Things that we so easily take for granted but to them it is like Christmas. At the end, when we are about to leave, they tug on us, their tiny arms wrap around our legs and their little hands pull at the bottom of our sweater, they beg us not to go, not to leave them, their smile becomes a reminder to us that what we sow into their lives means the world to them. They begin to ask and wonder when they will ever experience again the fun and love them enjoyed from the time we spent together, their eyes desperately communicating their desire to be loved, for one more hug or simply for a promise that we will return. For us it is one day out of our self consumed busy week, but for them it is a moment of hope, as they begin to feel valued and treasured from a simple thing such as a hug and the knowing that there is someone in this word that wants to be with them and wants to love them. We serve only through being who we are and that is often all it takes to make an impact so great.
Clinics: Providing medical care, thus benefiting the whole community. In most cases, when living on the outskirts, the distance and lack of transportation to major cities to receive the medical help makes it difficult to get the proper care. Here is where HELLO - Liberia endeavors to continue to expand in order to provide those in need with accessible care.
Weekly outreaches that provide balanced meals, all day activities and educational opportunities. A fun filled day of getting to know the children and interacting with the community, thus providing an arena to better meet their needs.
Pre-schools- Yes, everyday in designated areas, HELLO - Liberia is teaming up with others to fund and provide what is needed to help lay a foundation for a life that loves to learn and also to provide meals and loving care in a fun activated environment.
How we do it:
The care that we give is directed in several different ways. Our efforts include raising funds through donations and gifts, which are then carefully distributed where the needs are most urgent.
These organizations play an important role in highlighting initiatives that are of the highest priority meaning no funds are ever wasted on unwanted or unnecessary projects. Organization has hand-picked up volunteers that are of the best in Liberia with many of their key staff members having advanced degrees. Each staff/volunteers gains a personal experience with the children and families assisted and a real ability to change the lives of people that they would never ordinarily meet.
HELLO - Liberia Project enables you take part in restoring lives to those children who have been separated from their families due to circumstances beyond their control such as, poverty, disease or during the fifteen (15) civil crises in Liberia.
